President Obama on Wednesday condemned Libya's violent crackdown against a widening anti-government movement, saying the "suffering and bloodshed is outrageous, and it is unacceptable."
Oh, really? Well, guess what? I condemn the non-stop suffering and bloodshed caused by the United States government in Iraq, Afghanistan, and dozens of other countries around the world throughout the course of my entire life as "outrageous." The hypocrisy, immorality, brutality and total lack of compassion for other human beings at the hands of the United States is sickening.
According to Obama, whose "hope" and "change" doesn't look at all different from that of George W. Bush, the government of Libya's actions "violate international norms and every standard of common decency." Oh, you mean like America's foreign policy of toppling foreign governments, bombing countless people to death, and torturing prisoners in Guantanamo and in secret US prisons around the world?
Obama went on to say, "Like all governments, the Libyan government has a responsibility to refrain from violence, to allow humanitarian assistance to reach those in need and to respect the rights of its people. It must be held accountable for its failure to meet those responsibilities and face the cost of continued violations of human rights."
What about the US responsibility to refrain from violence? Who holds America accountable for its failed responsibilities? Who faces the cost? Not you, Mr. President. You and the government you represent are completely full of shit.
