The Boneyard

The evil that men do lives after them; the good is oft interred with their bones.

~ William Shakespeare

Over and above that we let them get rich on our sweat and blood, while we remain poor and they suck the marrow from our bones.

~ Martin Luther

Cicero said, "Endless money forms the sinews of war." A sinew is a mainstay or source of vitality and strength. Sorry, I just don't see the vitality here. What's so strong about planes rotting in the desert? All of this shit could be recycled (by people in need of work, no less) and the metal used in things such as appliances, bridges, cans, containers, cars, trucks, desks, file cabinets, fire hydrants, guard rails, and utility poles. After that we could designate the area as protected wilderness, let nature reclaim it and let wildlife have back this 2,600 acres that right now is nothing more than another ugly monument to human stupidity and waste.
